TikTok star Odesanmi Opeyemi, widely known as Oloba Salo, has been hospitalized following a shooting in Lekki, Lagos State. Reports indicate that the live streamer was attacked by an unknown gunman who robbed him and shot him in the leg.
In a video that emerged after the incident, an eyewitness can be heard saying, “This is Salo’s car; you can see it for yourself. This is not a joke—there’s blood here.” The footage shows Salo’s vehicle with two bullet casings on the driver’s seat and visible bloodstains.
Another eyewitness reported that the shooter had approached Salo’s car while posing as a beggar. As Salo rolled down his window, the assailant opened fire.
Salo’s brother shared a video from the hospital, showing the TikTok personality receiving medical treatment.
Lagos police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident, stating that Salo is currently under medical care. He added that an investigation has been initiated to look into the matter. “I can confirm that the incident occurred. He is receiving medical attention, and the investigation is ongoing,” Hundeyin stated.
Salo has gained popularity for his controversial social media commentary, drawing significant attention online.
