The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended two men found in possession of suspected human tongues. The arrests were made during a routine stop-and-search operation on Tuesday, October 15, near Otedola Bridge.

The two suspects, Isah Amohullahi, 30, and Abubakar Isah, 32, were intercepted while traveling in a taxi. Upon discovery of the suspicious items, the police expanded their investigation, which led to the arrest of a third man involved in the alleged organ trafficking.

Lagos State Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrests in a statement, revealing that the third suspect, Gbolahan Temidayo, was apprehended at Oyingbo Market, Lagos, as the alleged source of the human parts.

“Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) arrested two individuals in possession of suspected human tongues on Otedola Bridge during a routine check. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of another suspect, from whom the parts were reportedly bought,” Hundeyin stated.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the suspects will face charges if found guilty of the crime.
