During the parade of a criminal gang arrested by the police, Alkali Obadiah recounted how the gang kidnapped his daughter, Jessica, and killed his cousin, Rachel Hassan
In a live coverage by TV360 Nigeria, Obadiah explained that the kidnappers took the victims deep into Kachia forest in Kaduna. He said after his family and the bandits reached an agreement on the amount of ransom for the victims’ release, there was an unexpected delay in getting the money to the bandits. Unfortunately, because of this delay, the bandits shot Rachel, who was 43 years old, killing her on the spot.
He said the bandits then forced Jessica to carry Rachel’s body.In Obadiah’s words: “They took them till they reached Kachia forest whereby negotiation was ongoing.
We reached an agreement and they were waiting for the person that will bring the ransom money but there was hitch on the way and it could not reach them on time. So they shot my cousin sister Rachel Hassan who was 42 years old. They shot her dead and forced Jessica, 29, to carry the dead body”.
