Durk Banks, widely known as Lil Durk, was apprehended on Thursday due to his alleged involvement in a murder-for-hire plot, according to police documents.

The 32-year-old rapper is currently being held without bail at the Broward County Correctional Facility in Florida as he awaits extradition to California to face federal charges, as reported by The Mirror US.

This arrest is connected to the fatal shooting of Lul Pab in August 2022. At that time, Quando Rondo and Lul Pab were targeted at a gas station in Los Angeles, where they came under fire. Tragically, Lul Pab later died from his injuries in a hospital, while the assailants managed to flee in a white sedan.

Images of Lil Durk’s mugshot have emerged, depicting him against a gray background while wearing a yellow T-shirt.

Several members of his Only the Family (OTF) crew—Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston—have also been charged in connection with the shooting, which reportedly had Quando Rondo as the intended target.

A filing from a US District Court, acquired by Music Times, indicates that an unnamed OTF associate allegedly “offered financial incentives to individuals willing to carry out the killing of Quando Rondo.”

Authorities suspect that the motive behind this alleged plot is tied to Rondo’s purported involvement in the 2020 shooting death of rapper King Von in Atlanta, which stemmed from an escalating confrontation that resulted in King Von being fatally wounded.

The indictment outlines serious allegations, including murder-for-hire and the use of a machine gun in an incident that led to a death.
