President Bola Tinubu returned to Nigeria on Saturday after spending 17 days in the United Kingdom on a working vacation. He had left the country on October 2 for the two-week break, which was part of his annual leave.
Tinubu touched down at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, in the evening. His return was confirmed by presidential aide Dada Olusegun, who posted on X (formerly Twitter), “The eagle has landed. Welcome home, Mr. President.”
Upon his arrival, President Tinubu was received by several top officials, including the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje; Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; and National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, among others.
SaharaReporters previously noted that President Tinubu’s departure for the UK on October 2 was for a two-week vacation as part of his annual leave, a fact reiterated by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
