In a shocking revelation, operatives from the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have uncovered a location at Oyingbo Market in Lagos State where human parts were allegedly sold as merchandise. This discovery followed the arrest of two suspects who were found in possession of human remains.
According to reports from P.M.EXPRESS, the arrests occurred during a routine stop-and-search operation on Otedola Bridge. The suspects, identified as 30-year-old Isah Amohullahi and 32-year-old Abubakar Isah, were apprehended in a taxi on October 15, 2024, while carrying human tongues. They have since been detained for questioning regarding their actions.
During the interrogation process, the suspects disclosed that they had purchased the human parts from a trader named Gbolahan Temidayo, who operates in Oyingbo Market. This led the police to the market, where Temidayo was also arrested and is now being questioned about his alleged involvement in the crime.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrests, stating that the suspects are currently in police custody and undergoing further interrogation. He detailed, “The suspects, Isah Amohullahi, 30, and Abubakar Isah, 32, were apprehended in a taxi on October 15, 2024, with human tongues during a routine stop-and-search operation on Otedola Bridge.”
The investigation subsequently revealed Temidayo’s connection to the case, prompting his arrest in the market. SP Hundeyin noted that the investigation is still ongoing, and once completed, the suspects will be brought before the court for prosecution.
