A man, whose identity remains unknown, was tragically killed by a train along the railway tracks heading toward Iyana-Ipaja, near Ikeja train station in Lagos State.

According to Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday. Oke-Osanyintolu shared this information in an official statement.

The body of the victim has since been moved to the morgue for further procedures.

In the statement, LASEMA explained that they received distress calls through their Toll-Free 767/112 lines at 8:28 a.m. and swiftly dispatched the Eagle Response Team from the Cappa Base to the scene.
