Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has announced the implementation of a new minimum wage of N80,000 for all workers in the state, set to take effect in October 2024.

The governor shared this important update on his official X account on Thursday, highlighting his administration’s commitment to improving workers’ conditions.

“I have just approved a minimum wage of N80,000 for Enugu workers, effective October 2024,” Mbah stated. He emphasized the importance of recognizing the dedication and sacrifices made by the state’s workforce, pledging to continue prioritizing their welfare in accordance with his campaign commitments.
