The Ondo State Police Command has apprehended two individuals, Ifeanyi Obiefunna, 36, and Joseph Agwu, 43, linked to a vehicle theft and vandalism ring that targets items such as vehicle brain boxes, side mirrors, and other valuables. The arrests took place at the Command headquarters in Akure, where the state Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Oladipo, provided details about the operation.

Oladipo explained that a thorough investigation led to the identification and arrest of additional gang members, including Obinna Uyammadu, 32, and Onyeka Okoye, 38. These individuals are also suspected of involvement in the syndicate’s activities.

According to Oladipo, Joseph Agwu, who resides in Akure, revealed that he sells second-hand goods, commonly referred to as Okrika, and acted as an informant, alerting his accomplices about opportunities in the area before they returned to Lagos after their operations.

The police commissioner confirmed that the suspects will face charges in court following the completion of the investigation.
