An Uber driver is currently in custody following the discovery of 30-year-old Chanti Dixon’s body, who was found shot dead in a wooded area. Dixon had been reported missing after she failed to return home from work on Monday morning.
Authorities arrested Francisco Valadez, 29, on Tuesday in connection with Dixon’s murder. Dixon had ordered an Uber around 3:30 am in Indianapolis to return home from her job but was last heard from after leaving work.

Later that day, police were notified about a deceased person found in a wooded area. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Chief Chris Bailey confirmed that the victim had suffered a gunshot wound, according to ABC News.
“This is horrifying and deeply troubling,” Bailey remarked. “No one in our community deserves to be treated like this.”
