Troops from the Nigerian Joint Task Force, operating under Operation Hadin Kai, have successfully eliminated six suspected terrorists during a recent clearance mission in Sambisa Forest, Borno State. According to Zagazola Makama, a publication specializing in counter-insurgency efforts in the Lake Chad region, the troops targeted terrorist camps located in the Geizuwa area of Bama Local Government Area.

The operation, which involved collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), saw the troops advance from Geizuwa to dismantle terrorist strongholds in Sherori, Aljijari, Gajeri, and Arenari. The troops recovered several items, including two dane guns, medications, soft drinks, sanitary supplies, and 15 motorcycle tubes.

During the mission, a CJTF member sustained injuries and was subsequently transported to a medical facility for treatment.
