On Monday, armed bandits kidnapped two nurses and two patients from the Primary Healthcare Centre in Kuyallo, a community in Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The attack took place after their initial attempt to abduct students from the Government Day Secondary School in the same area failed.

Reacting to the incident on Tuesday, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, expressed deep concern over the escalating activities of bandits and kidnappers. He noted that these criminal groups have grown increasingly bold in their attacks, particularly on vulnerable targets.

“The activities of bandits have become too rampant, especially with this latest attack on a hospital,” Tajudeen stated. He urged security forces to act swiftly and decisively in rescuing the kidnapped individuals, stressing that no Nigerian should remain in captivity anywhere in the country.

He further called for continuous and intensified efforts to eliminate the threats of kidnapping, banditry, and terrorism across Nigeria.
