In Nasarawa State, Isa Usman has been arrested by the police for allegedly causing the death of Zaki Yaka Ajohol after administering a Procaine injection. The arrest took place on Wednesday in Iyayi Village, located in the Kadarko district of Keana Local Government Area.

DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest in a recent statement. Usman, who has only completed primary school education, is originally from Pindi village in Gombe State. He had claimed to have received medical training at Asibitin Yusuf in Agyaragu, Obi LGA.

According to the statement, Usman administered Procaine injections over a period of three days to treat typhoid. On the fourth day, after giving another injection, the patient lost consciousness and was later pronounced dead at a primary health care facility in Akeleku.

DSP Nansel noted that Commissioner of Police Umar Shehu Nadada has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Lafia for further investigation and legal action. Additionally, police recovered drugs and other medical tools from Usman as part of the evidence.
