Nigerian women who are allegedly being detained in a Libyan prison have made an emotional appeal for assistance.
A viral video circulating on social media shows a significant number of these women in what they describe as a holding facility. Some of them claim to have been confined in the facility for over a year. The footage also features several women with young children, urging the Nigerian government to intervene and help them find a way out.
The women further stated that while individuals from other nationalities have managed to leave, they have remained calm and law-abiding to avoid tarnishing Nigeria’s image.
