
There is rising tension in the Ajiran community, located in the Agungi area of Lekki, Lagos State, after the shocking murder of Demola, the eldest son of the Ojomu of Ajiran land, Tijani Akinloye.
According to an anonymous source familiar with the incident, the assassination took place on Monday near Ebano Supermarket on Chevron Drive. The tragic event has sparked widespread fear, causing many residents to flee the area, as reported by PUNCH.
In response to the incident, the management of a local estate issued a notice urging residents to avoid Chevron, Agungi, and Ajiran for their safety. The notice read: “We wish to inform all residents that the son of the Ajiran (Agungi) king was assassinated today along Chevron Drive, near Ebano Supermarket. We urge our esteemed residents to avoid the Chevron, Agungi, and Ajiran areas for the time being to ensure their safety.”
Meanwhile, Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, stated that he had not yet received details of the situation but promised to provide an update as soon as more information becomes available. “I am not aware,” Hundeyin said. “I will contact you once I’m privy to the information.”
