The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on youth to Ondo Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Solomon Olaolu Kevin, was captured on camera allegedly distributing money to thugs to disrupt the ongoing nationwide protests in the state.

A video made available to SaharaReporters shows these hoodlums chanting “No Protest” after receiving cash from the governor’s aide. Armed with sticks, they were seen intimidating Nigerians who were exercising their civic rights.

For the third consecutive day, a large gathering of Lagos State residents and the Take-It-Back Movement assembled in Ojota, Lagos State, to continue their peaceful protest under the banner of #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria. The protesters remain united in their quest for transformative change and accountability, maintaining a calm and orderly atmosphere with slogans and placards to voice their demands for improved governance and a better future for Nigeria.

SaharaReporters also documented the government’s intensified efforts, along with security operatives, to suppress the public demonstrations. On Saturday morning, hundreds of protesters at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, participating in the #EndBadGovernance protest, were arrested by the Nigerian police. Additionally, at least 11 youths and residents in Yobe State were forcibly taken from their homes and detained.
