
A group of armed men, suspected to be robbers, launched an attack on a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) lodge in Hadejia, Jigawa State, over the weekend. The incident left some corps members injured and resulted in the theft of valuable items.
Hadejia, a town in eastern Jigawa State, lies near the borders of Kiri Kasama Local Government to the east, Mallam MaÉ—ori Local Government to the north, and Auyo Local Government to the west.
According to reports, the robbers stormed the NYSC lodge, making off with several valuable items, including laptops, cell phones, and cash. The attack marks the fourth time the lodge has been targeted in the past eight months.
A source familiar with the incident said, “This is the fourth time this year that the Hadejia corpers’ lodge has been attacked by suspected criminals. They broke down our entrance door and injured some of our members. We desperately need help and prayers.”
