
Today, the wedding ceremony of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s daughter and the son of ex-Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, took place at the National Mosque in Abuja. The event drew a host of notable figures, including Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and his political adversary, Musa Kwankwaso.
Among the dignitaries were former Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar, as well as ex-governors Sule Lamido of Jigawa, Murtala Nyako of Adamawa, Ali Modu Sheriff of Borno, Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano, and Adamu Muazu of Bauchi. The chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Col Buba Marwa (rtd), and Senator Abdul Ningi also attended the event.
The ceremony saw the presence of Ambassador Iliya Damagum, the Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Yesterday, Atiku hosted the family of Kashim Imam, led by former Kaduna State Governor Nasiru El-Rufai, at his Asokoro residence. This visit was to formally request the hand of his daughter, Hafsat Atiku Abubakar, in marriage.
The wedding was well-attended by prominent personalities, including National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu and former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, among others.
