
The Plateau State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr. Musa Ashom, has called on Nigerians, especially residents of the state, to donate blood at Plateau Specialists Hospital to help save the lives of school pupils rescued from the collapsed school building in Jos, the state capital.
In a statement issued in Jos, Ashom urged all able-bodied individuals within and around the state to contribute to the blood donation efforts for the victims. He stated, “Due to the significant casualties from the collapse of a school building in the Busa Buji area of Jos North Local Government Area, the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Communication Plateau State, Ibrahim Musa Ashoms, appeals to the public’s sense of humanity to donate blood at major and government hospitals in the city.”
Chronicles Reporters on Friday reported the tragic collapse of a building at Saint Academy in Busa Buji, Jos North Local Government Area, trapping over 200 students under the debris. The two-storey building, which accommodated secondary school students, collapsed during school hours around 11 am on Friday while examinations were in progress.
