An 18-year-old student from Evangel Seminary School in Ovom Aba, Abia State, named Chikwere Edmond Nkemakolam, has been confirmed dead.
Chikwere sustained a fatal injury while fleeing during an attack on police officers at Opobo Junction in Aba last week. As he was returning from school, he fell and hit his head on the ground.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, treatment was delayed as the hospital required a deposit before starting care. Tragically, Chikwere passed away before his mother could gather the necessary funds.
