The Anti-Kidnapping unit of the FCT Police Command successfully rescued two women, Mart Ojadi and Evelyn Chinaza, who were abducted by gunmen in Guto village, Bwari.
Superintendent of Police Josephine Adeh, the state Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed this in a statement.
According to Adeh, the police, working alongside DSS agents, tracked the kidnappers to Gauraka Forest in Niger State. A fierce gunfight ensued, forcing the criminals to flee with injuries.
The victims were rescued unharmed and have been reunited with their families.
