Parents and guardians are urged to prioritize their wards’ safety during this vacation period.

The Osun State government has ordered the closure of all public and private schools by July 31. This decision aligns with the upcoming #EndBadGovernance protests, scheduled to begin on August 1, advocating for better economic reforms and welfare policies under President Bola Tinubu.

M.A.K Jimoh, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Education, announced this directive in a statement on Tuesday.

He emphasized the importance of parents and guardians ensuring their children’s safety during this period.

“This is to inform the general public, especially parents, guardians, and school heads, that due to the planned nationwide protests, all schools will commence their third-term vacation from Wednesday, July 31, 2023,” the statement read. Parents and guardians are urged to prioritize their wards’ safety during this vacation period.
