Operatives from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) apprehended over 60 individuals during a drug party in Abuja. The event, organized by Stanley Ikechukwu, took place on Friday.

In a statement released Sunday, NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi reported that the arrested group included 25 males and 35 females. Six of these suspects were found in possession of various drugs. However, 20 individuals were released unconditionally after testing negative for drugs.

The event was themed ‘Go hard or Go Home; Pick Your Poison’.

The NDLEA raid resulted in the arrest of 25 males and 35 females at an apartment in Sun City Estate, located in the Federal Capital Territory. According to the statement, the operation was based on credible intelligence about the party organized by Stanley Ikechukwu, who was also arrested at the scene.

Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), the Chairman and Chief Executive of NDLEA, has directed the unconditional release of the 20 individuals who tested negative for drugs. The 33 who tested positive are to be released on bail and will report to the FCT Command of the Agency on Monday to begin treatment and counseling.
