The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported that inflation soared to 34.19 percent in June 2024. This surge reflects the rising cost of living, largely influenced by the naira’s float and the removal of the fuel subsidy.

Despite these challenges, Senator Oshiomhole, who represents Edo North, remains optimistic about President Tinubu’s policies. He urges Nigerians to be patient, believing that the policies will eventually yield positive results.

“Some policy initiatives will require more than a year to materialize,” Oshiomhole stated during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics. “What would the president gain by resorting to policy choices that are unlikely to deliver comfort in the long run?”

He added, “For me, it is about having faith that in the long run, these things will work out.”
