Attacks the Kano State Police
βI canβt understand why the security agencies, particularly the police, are not following our directives,β he said. βWhen we issue instructions, they often claim theyβve received orders from βabove.β Who is this βaboveβ? I am the chief security officer of the state. If you disagree with that, you should go and amend the Nigerian constitution.β
As the protest approaches, the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has also spoken out, urging the government to implement effective measures to alleviate the economic hardships faced by the populace. βWe must find proper ways to support those in need and ensure that aid reaches them,β the Emir stated during a meeting.
