Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has announced that President Bola Tinubu has approved the construction of 40 houses for the Justices of the Court of Appeal, the Federal High Court, and the FCT High Courts. This announcement was made during the groundbreaking ceremony for the new court complex of the Abuja division of the Court of Appeal at Dakibiyu, Jabi District, Abuja.

Wike stated that the President has also approved retirement homes for the heads of courts, including the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, the Chief Judge of the FCT, the President of the National Industrial Court, and the President of the Court of Appeal. The foundation for these homes is expected to be laid in August, with completion and key handover by September next year.

In a related development, the Minister flagged off the first Taxi and Bus terminal in Kugbo, Karu District of Abuja. Addressing the discomfort faced by commuters, especially during the rainy season, Wike emphasized that the new terminal would enhance commuting experiences and improve security in the FCT .
