In Niger State, a wave of protests has erupted as youths take to the streets, voicing their frustrations over the ongoing cost of living crisis in Nigeria.
Brandishing placards with messages such as “Enough is Enough,” “Stop Anti-Masses Policies,” “We Are Not Slaves in Our Country,” “Hardship Is Unbearable,” and “Fuel Subsidy Must Be Back,” the protesters expressed their discontent. They marched through the streets, chanting anti-government slogans.

Our correspondent observed some of the demonstrators on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway. Attempts to engage with them for comments were unsuccessful, as they declined to speak.
The Federal and State governments have made multiple attempts to halt the protests, expressing concerns that they could be taken over by hoodlums and those opposed to democracy.
