
The Federal Government has announced a comprehensive schedule of events to celebrate this year’s Democracy Day. The announcement was made through a notice issued by Abdulhakeem Adeoye on behalf of the Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Sunday.
The celebration will kick off on Tuesday, June 11, with a symposium scheduled to take place at the State House Conference Centre, Presidential Villa, Abuja, starting at 9:00 AM. Following the symposium, a youth conference is slated for the same day at 6:00 PM at Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja.
On Wednesday, June 12, the festivities will continue with a grand parade at Eagle Square, Abuja, commencing at 8:00 AM. The day’s events will culminate in a dinner at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja, at 6:00 PM.
The notice highlighted that only accredited Villa correspondents would be permitted to cover the events held at the Presidential Villa. It also mentioned that further updates would be provided as the celebration date approaches.
