Uchechi Kanu, the wife of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), recently visited her husband who has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since 2021, following his arrest and extradition from Kenya.
According to sources gathered by Eaglesforesight, Uchechi’s visit to the Biafra Agitator was facilitated by Anambra South Senator, Ifeanyi Ubah. Prior to this visit, Uchechi had reportedly been denied access to her husband on multiple occasions.
Expressing her gratitude on a radio address to IPOB members in the United Kingdom on Sunday, Uchechi commended Senator Ifeanyi Ubah for his swift action in facilitating the visit. She also extended her thanks to other Igbo politicians, governors, and political office holders for their concern regarding Kanu’s plight.
Uchechi stated, ‘Let me use this opportunity to thank Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who moved swiftly to facilitate my visit to my husband in DSS custody. I thank you, sir. I thank other Igbo politicians, governors, and political office holders who are concerned about the plight of my husband.’
She further acknowledged the efforts of these elites, revealing that they are working discreetly to secure a round table discussion for Kanu’s release. She expressed her gratitude to them for their support.
