On Thursday, the Nigerian government released a video showcasing President Bola Tinubu’s walk to his office at the presidential villa in Abuja. This release came shortly after SaharaReporters detailed Tinubu’s return to the country following a two-week absence.

In the 27-second clip shared by Dada Olusegun, the President’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Tinubu was accompanied by at least 15 aides from his official residence to his office within the villa. Olusegun’s caption stated: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu back at his desk this morning, receives briefing from HM @bosuntijani, NCC EVC and HM Wale Edun, HM of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy at the State House.”

Tinubu’s return on early Wednesday was met with relief from concerned Nigerians, who had been questioning his whereabouts. He was warmly received at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, by top government officials.

SaharaReporters revealed that Tinubu had departed Nigeria on April 23 for an official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, upon the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte. During his stay, he engaged in discussions with prominent Dutch officials, including separate meetings with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima. Additionally, he participated in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum.

Following his Netherlands visit, Tinubu attended a special World Economic Forum meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from April 28 to 29. Themed “Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development,” the forum convened leaders from various sectors to discuss global development strategies.
