The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) jointly issued a letter signed by their respective presidents, Joe Ajaero and addressed to various government officials and stakeholders in the electricity industry.
In the letter, labor called for the reinstatement of the supremacy of the statutes regulating the behavior of operators within the electricity sector. Copies of the letter were distributed to key recipients, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), the Federal Minister of Labour and Employment, the Federal Minister of Power, and all Electricity Distribution Companies (DISCOs).
