The Nigeria Police announced that normalcy has been restored to Ipaja in the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State after a clash between police personnel and hoodlums. On Monday, over 100 hoodlums reportedly attacked the Ipaja Police Station, leading to a gun battle with police officers.
While there are concerns that many individuals were injured, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, told SaharaReporters on Monday that he did not yet have the casualty figures.
Hundeyin confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters, stating that police officers were mobilized to the area and that normalcy had been restored. “Normalcy has been restored in the area, but I don’t have the number of the casualties yet,” he said.
