In a tragic turn of events, a woman identified as Torkwase Kpile stands accused of fatally stabbing her husband, Mr. Igbah Kpile, following a disagreement over intimacy in Achusa Village, Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State.
Torkwase, 29, and her husband, aged 37, had been married for only two months before the incident unfolded in the early hours of Sunday.
According to a source in the area who spoke with Gistworld.ng on Monday, the couple engaged in an argument over sexual matters, which allegedly escalated when Torkwase wielded a kitchen knife, fatally injuring Igbah in the neck. She purportedly continued to stab him in several other parts of his body until he collapsed.
Neighbors, alerted by Igbah’s cries, rushed to the scene to find him lying in a pool of blood while his wife reportedly showed no remorse, attributing her actions to his persistent demands for sex.
Efforts to save Igbah proved futile as he succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital, confirmed by the attending doctor.
Following the incident, Torkwase was reportedly seen fleeing the area, prompting a search by law enforcement agencies. Investigations are currently underway, with intensified efforts to apprehend the suspect.
