To the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN),
I am deeply troubled by the continued seizure of the N20 billion Kogi State Salary Bail Out funds held in Sterling Bank account number 0073572696. This money was intended to alleviate the suffering of our state’s workers who have not been paid their salaries for months.
We demand that the CBN immediately release the seized funds and return them to the rightful beneficiaries – the hardworking and dedicated public servants of Kogi State. These workers have been patiently waiting for their wages, while struggling to make ends meet and provide for their families.
Alternatively, we urge the CBN to consider disbursing the funds directly and immediately to the affected workers, bypassing the state government altogether to ensure that the money reaches those who need it most.
It is unacceptable that Kogi State’s workers continue to suffer due to the mismanagement of funds by the state government. The CBN must act swiftly and decisively to remedy this situation and deliver the much-needed relief to our fellow citizens.
We implore the CBN to adhere to its mandate of promoting financial stability and economic development by promptly resolving this issue and restoring the faith of the people of Kogi State in our financial institutions.
