In a recent reshuffle, Governor Fubara of Rivers State has reassigned Zacchaeus Adangor, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Isaac Kamalu, the Commissioner for Finance.

According to a statement released by the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Tammy Danagogo, Adangor has been transferred to the Ministry of Special Duties (Governor’s Office), while Kamalu has been relocated to the Ministry of Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment.

Both officials are instructed to promptly hand over all relevant official documents to their respective Permanent Secretaries, with the redeployments taking immediate effect as emphasized in the statement, stating, “All hand-over processes must be completed immediately.”

Adangor and Kamalu, known allies of former Governor Nyesom Wike, previously resigned from their positions amidst the political turbulence in December. However, they were reinstated as part of a reconciliation effort brokered by President Bola Tinubu.

The Rivers State Government has not disclosed the rationale behind their redeployment.
