Reports have surfaced indicating that Gihan Mbelu, the Chairman of Victoria Garden City (VGC) located in the Lekki-Ajah area of Lagos State, has tragically passed away under mysterious circumstances. The incident occurred on Friday, April 26, 2024, as confirmed by the Lagos State Police Command.
According to police reports, the General Manager of the Victoria Garden City Estate alerted the command about the distressing discovery. The 42-year-old Mbelu was found unconscious in his ash-colored C300 4Matic car around 10 am on Friday, with the ignition on and the vehicle’s windows rolled up in the vicinity of VGC.
Upon receiving the report, police detectives swiftly responded to the scene and transported Mbelu to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). Tragically, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. His body was subsequently transferred to the hospital morgue to undergo preservation and autopsy procedures.
The Lagos State Police Command has initiated a preliminary inquiry into the incident, and further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
