Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council for Kogi State, has emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration within the party to ensure the victory of its candidate in the upcoming Kogi governorship election. The election, slated for November 11 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is a critical moment for the PDP to secure the governorship seat in Kogi.

Speaking at the inaugural meeting held at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, Adeleke underscored the significance of coordinated efforts. He stated that the pathway to victory for the PDP’s candidate, Dino Melaye, was through a united front of party members in Kogi State rallying behind him.

“We are marching to victory in the upcoming Kogi State governorship election,” Adeleke declared. “Our job is to ensure that our candidate, Senator Dino Melaye, is elected governor of Kogi State in the forthcoming election.”

Adeleke, known for his role in Osun politics, drew parallels from his experiences in Osun State and conveyed his optimism that the same strategies could be applied successfully in Kogi. He emphasized the importance of faith, unity, and commitment among party members for a successful outcome.

Highlighting the need for a peaceful electoral process, Adeleke revealed his prior engagement with Governor Yahaya Bello, emphasizing a mutual commitment to a peaceful campaign devoid of violence.

Melaye, the gubernatorial candidate, echoed the sentiment of unity, urging support from the people of Kogi across the various senatorial districts and federal constituencies.
