The heart-wrenching event follows the devastating announcement made by the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) on August 14, revealing the loss of at least 36 officers in a battle. These brave souls had been engaged in a critical operation against insurgents in the Zungeru area of Niger State when their helicopter was downed.
These valiant troops had been swiftly deployed to Kundu village in the Wushishi Local Government Area following a series of heinous attacks carried out by bandits in the region.
