In the early hours of Thursday 20th July, an ominous cloud of chaos and fear shrouded the once peaceful home of Fahad Amed and Anda. In a shocking and unjustified act, armed police officers forcefully invaded their residence at 7 a.m., subjecting the family to bewilderment and trembling uncertainty. The reason behind this aggressive intrusion remains a mystery, as the officers relentlessly pursued an unknown individual, leaving the family in distress.

With alarming swiftness, the officers focused their attention on Fahad, apprehending him in the midst of heart-wrenching turmoil. In a display of incredible bravery, Miss Zainab, Anda’s mother, stepped forward to shield her beloved children from this unwarranted assault. Fueled by a mother’s instinctive love, she fearlessly stood her ground.

Amidst the chaos, Miss Zainab suffered painful injuries on her arms, but her determination to protect her children remained unwavering. The officers resorted to intimidation, brandishing their weapons and causing further terror to the already frightened family.

Their aggression knew no bounds as the officers thoroughly ransacked the household, leaving no room untouched. Tragically, they took three of Miss Zainab’s other children alongside Fahad and Anda, casting a dark cloud of anguish over what was once a haven of happiness.

Yet, their cruelty did not end there. The intruders callously snatched away valuable possessions, leaving the family in shock and devastation. Two phones, a cherished JBL mp3 player, and one hundred and fifty thousand naira, hard-earned by Miss Zainab, disappeared into the hands of these heartless assailants.

The pain and trauma inflicted upon this innocent family are immeasurable. They remain baffled by the lack of explanation from the officers, leaving them to grapple with an overwhelming sense of uncertainty and injustice.

Disturbingly, this was not the first time the family endured such unwarranted aggression. This marked the fifth harrowing encounter, as they were repeatedly subjected to this ordeal, with no avenue for justice or recourse within the sanctuary of their own home.

As the sun sets on another day, the family of Fahad Amed and Anda now lives in the shadows of fear, uncertainty, and injustice. The once-tranquil community of Bako Kwali now bears witness to the pain and suffering of this innocent family, unjustly targeted.

The echoes of this harrowing tale reverberate far and wide, prompting a pressing question: How can we allow such atrocities to persist? In pursuit of answers, our reporters reached out to Josephine Ameh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, for comment on this alarming incident. Regrettably, our efforts were unfruitful as she did not respond to our repeated calls.

NB: Chronicles Reporters will continue to investigate this distressing incident and provide updates as more information becomes available.
