Since the broom has lost it’s usefulness, the functionality of it’s essence is now in doubt in the heart of the electorates in Kogi state. Where the broom is, the house should be clean but the story is different in Kogi state.

The political broom in Kogi state which is a symbol of a political party, has shown reckless abandon in misappropriating the usefulness of the broom towards sweeping state resources to the dustbin of unaccountability and self enrichment.

In 2015 general elections, the good people of kogi state, detested the umbrella having lost it’s potentials . We stood under the scorching sun hoping the umbrella will shield us from the radiating heat of the sun but no we suffered the roasting effects of sunburn and the rain came but we were drenched. What then is the usefulness of holding an umbrella if it can’t prevent the scorching sun from having grave effect on the skin and stopping the rain from drenching.

In the mist of this pains, a man emerged, soaring on the victories of the late Prince Abubakar of blessed memories, the people accepted him considering his age and in line with the national quest at the time to retire the aged on the corridors of politics, he emerged fortunately as governor of the state.

Massive celebration greeted the air and while the good people of kogi state waited patiently for the political trajectory of his administration to be defined behold we saw the childishness of all ages. What people began to see is nothing but large billboards declaring, promoting and advertising the governor as a white lion. We were all shocked, E-shock you abi. Infact animal chop my head (A dangerous transliteration of igala language to English language by one indigenous politician). Hahaha.

The man holding the money bag of the state by the advantage of proximity with the governor blatantly disrespected the office of the then deputy governor making caricature of administrative orderliness and political hierarchy. He came with the ideology thinking Politics is a beauty pageant and a showmanship of royal purples.

What have we not seen in kogi state, is it the highest heights of childish deposition and myopic misconceptions of leadership and good governance or the reduction of the game Politics to a script in Nollywood acting. No wonder Kogi state is the cashing out hub for Nollywood actors and actresses. What a shame.

Truly lions are feared but they posses great leadership potentials but in the case of kogi state, the goal is to inspire fear and cause revolt to loom in the air. What a bad representation of lions. I love lions, I picture my profiles with their image but golden ones, my idea of a lion is leadership and mentorship by examples not intimations and terrorizing other animals in the jungle.

Will the galloping horse coming back home showcasing strength and catch-up with the trend of modern development since the state is currently backwardness. The horse is a symbol of greater admiration, strength and speed. Can we hope that the rider of the white horse will not the carried away by the cheering crowds and suddenly become what we can’t fathom.

The cartel of the present APC within the state is the greatest joke of all times, I see a dangerous loyalty that is already a threat to democratic tenets, I see a man whose brain will be suspended only to receive dictations from his boss who is currently trying to smuggle him to the corridors of power. Kogi state please be Wise.

I see another set of Nollywood actors waiting to take their turn to act season two of the white lions episodes. This conglomerates of primitivity setting the pace to emerge must be opposes because the ideology for emergence in the first place is questionable. Who is Ododo and what are his political pedigree. Kogi state shouldn’t be reduced to an I.T ground for political amateurs to test run their leadership prowess on a trial and error basis.

This is the time for the state to look inward and raise men that will become catalyst of change and a new kogi state. Can the rider of the white horse achieve this feat. Over to you kogites.

Good morning Nigerians and kogites
