In one of my articles I spoke on the hobbes theory of nature, I predicted the dilapidated state of insecurity in the country while faulting the incumbent government for her lackadaisical approach in handling National issues.

When a cancer patient is diagnosed, he or she is placed on chemotherapy to stale further spread of the tumor, the whole idea is prompt response to preserve the longevity of the patient but unfortunately the case is different with NIGERIA, we lack the sense of rapid response in times of National emergencies. We lack the swiftness to deliver the nation out of squalor.

The country is bedeviled by several waves of evil, kidnapping on one hand, herders attack on the other hand to mention a few. It is clear that terrorism and insurgencies in recent times has been modified and upgraded to community and road side kidnapping, since the base of boko haram has been invaded and their subsequent displacement from Sambisa forest, they have fragmented themselves unleashing varying degrees of mayhems. Yet our security chiefs are still giving it same old approach. This is pure insanity on display.

Nigeria, is fighting one evil that wasn’t properly combated from the initials, the money appropriated to fight insurgencies ended up in private pockets thereby making our land fighters sacrificial victims to the idols of insurgencies and banditries.

The numbers of widows, orphans and internally displaced persons have increased geometrically following the ALARMING rate of killings in the country yet the government demonstrate no gestures in terms of welfares to alleviate their sufferings. If nothing is done to secure a future for this categories of persons, the government is setting the pace for another resurrection of crimes in the society. This is another aftermaths that can be remedied provided the necessary steps and actions are taken.

What should we expect in a country where the motivation for leadership is purely that of thefts and exploitation. What should we expect when the ignoramus parade the political corridors with the mindsets that leadership is all about wearing AGBADA and having mammoth crowds showering them with encomiums while been followed by long ques of convoys with ear deafening cyrene.

The political architecture of the country is seating on the keg of gun powder, the country is volatile awaiting the flames of violence to be ignited. Now that killings are simultaneously registered in various parts of the country couple with the worrisome disposition of the government to tackle this senseless killings, I think two things becomes necessary at such a time as this.

  1. Allowing each state to fully take charge of her security thereby reducing the overbearance on the limited numbers of our federal policing.
  2. Since our government are always regretting the activities of this hoodlums, it has become necessary for the legalization of arms to compliment the ability of the government to provide maximum security of lives and properties.

Calling for the resignation of the president at such a time may implicate and endanger the lives of the youths. The securities serving the wheel of government as political thugs will be provoked against the masses. NIGERIA needs revolution and revolution is either bloody or bloodless, we are tired of the weak security system of the country, we are tired of seeing mind cutting and heartbreaking headlines on our prints and electronic media.

We are tired of the report of killings, we are tired of community been invaded by unknown armed men only for the government to commiserate with the family of the diseases, we are tired of waiting to be attacked in other to counter attack, we are tired of the ALARMING rate of thefts in the society. Wallahi the country is not save, we are living by the grace of God, it is time for our president and governor to honorably resign for failing in their primary duties of securing lives and properties.

Enough is enough, the government cannot tackle insurgency without investing in the economy, their is hunger in the land, our naira has been devaluated, what kind of economic policy is the country running on, their is no excess money in circulation yet no investment into the economy both the fiscal and monetary policies are far from been registered in our economy. May God help Nigeria.

Good morning Nigerians
